U12/3 vs Thornleigh @ Oakleigh Oval

It was a big ask to get the team to front up for an 8:15am game on a cold Winters’ morning when most of them had only arrived back from a 3 day camp in Canberra at 7pm the night before. The coaches had them primed with the magic energy food, bananas, before the game and they all rose to the occasion. Despite being exhausted they all played a fantastic game, especially in the second half, but unfortunately lost 2:1. Isaac Bingham scored the goal, Jonathon Dethan was “Most Improved” and “Player of the Match” was Leighton Clarke. A great game was played by all, well done boys.

A tough game against a very strong team! All players worked hard throughout the game, but this match showed us that we have a lot of work to do to get ready for the season.

The man of the match was Alex who was a brilliant goalie, saving many shots. Lachlan played a strong game, showing great skill at times, and Dylan ran continuously without giving up.
