Win 2-0 v All Saints Hunters Hill

After a fierce fitness training session last night and the threat of sitting on the side line the boys came ready to play and play they did.
The first five or so minutes were spent going back and forth settling into the match. At the 7th minute mark Ben latch onto a good ball and slotted in a great shot. This was it the boys were pumped. Fife minutes later after some great lead up work from the backs through the midfield and out to the wing Tom sent a great cross to Sanjeev who punched it in with his left boot to take us 2 up.
The rest of the half was spent pushing the ball around with a couple of good shots but even better saves by the ASH goalkeeper.
At half time the boys were confident and had forgotten the night before training.
The second half started with a number of early shots for no reward. The second half keeper from ASH seem to be everywhere and when Tom put one high we all thought it was going in but sailed over the top for a conversion instead.
Towards the end of the half Daniel (usually a back) pushed his way up front and struck the ball perfectly for what we thought would be his first goal ever but when the ASH keeper grabbed the ball and the crowd all sighed feeling Daniel pain.
Special mention this week to Jacob who as Mick put it “didn’t listen to me last night at training but chased everything that went near him today and a lot that didn’t” well done Jacob, top effort.
