RESULT: Win 7-0 v Eastwood Epping

The team had yet another comprehensive win this week. They are still undefeated for the season. The pitch was a mud bath with the ball and boys splashing through puddles in the middle of the field. The team played well as a unit with some great passing and crosses despite the trying conditions. The score could have been even bigger if not for some great defending from the opposing goalie. In the first half of the game there were many shots on goal that were saved but half way through the first half, they began to find the back of the net.

The defense line of Wilfred, Ben M, Ben S and Oliver were strong again with our goalies Riley and Sam only touching the ball once or twice. The mid fielders (Joel, Aaron, Daniel and Tim) ran all day with great passing which resulted in 5 of the players contributing to the scoring. Jem and Ayrton worked well together up front with Jem scoring his first goal of the season.
Congratulations to Ben M for being nominated man of the match for his strong clearances from the back.

Result: Win 8-0 v Epping Eastwood

Another win for the team. The forwards and midfielders had many shots on goal this week but had a few issues with offside! Despite this they managed 8 goals! Welcome to Tim Ng who joined the team this week as we have lost a couple of players to injury. Well done to Tim for a strong game for his first and earning man of the match

Another wonderful team effort from all players. There was lots of great passing and strong positional play. The team is really learning how to hold their position on the field and it is showing in the score line. Congratulations to Wilfred for his man of the match performance, particularly for the strong defensive run down the side line to prevent a goal. Well done team!

The team is continuing to play really well. This week they played against their strongest opposition so far but the Pumas were on top from start to finish. Ben M and Wilfred had a strong game. All the players are holding their positions well and defending well too. The defense line held strong on a number of occasions with Jem and Nick offering good support to the goalie. Ben S had a great game in goals in the second half with a few great saves where he put his body on the line. The forwards and mid field worked really well together and are developing a great combination. Congratulations to Daniel Wilkins for being player of the match after making many strong breaks up front and for great team play with his other forwards.

Result: Win 5-2 v All Saints Hunters Hill

The team had a great match today against strong opposition. At half time the score was only 1-0, but soon after kick off in the second half we scored again and the game opened up. Mackeily did well and held her own against all the boys in the backs. Jem was also strong in defense in his role as sweeper, reliably providing the last line of defense. The mid fielders worked tirelessly all day fighting for possession and the forwards made a number of strong breaks. Congratulations to Joel for being player of the match after scoring 4 goals. Well done team.

Result: 3-1 Win v Carlingford Redbacks

SCORERS: Ayrton Lucero, Daniel Wilkins, Oliver Turner

The boys were nervous before the beginning of the match after hearing that their opposition won 17-0 last week. However the boys had a really strong game today with all players contributing well. Oliver opened the scoring with a great finish from a corner. Ayrton scored and came close to scoring a number of goals and assisted in others. Daniel drove forward all game also resulting in a goal. Joel did a great job with getting a number of corners well into play. Sam, and Ben S ran all day in the mid field and the defense from Ashley, Jem, Wilfred, Mackeily and Ben M was tireless. Riley had another good game in goals. Well done to all the boys for another team effort. Player of the match was Ashley Paterson for his hard work and effort.

A great start to the season for the boys against a difficult opponent. The boys played well, especially as they were missing some key players today. Well done Riley playing goalie even though not feeling well! Great goals to Ayrton and Ben with great crosses and support play from the team. Thanks to Ari Lucero and Hugh Bingham for filling in for us. Congratulations to Jem winning player of the match.

The boys had a fantastic game this week, playing a team in the division older than themselves. It was a true team effort with 6 different boys contributing to the scoring. All played well. Thanks to Riley and Ashley for willingly playing goalie in a game where they did not see much action!
